Knysna Holidays was created initially by a Northern Hemisphere tourist who visited the area around 1999 - 2000 and was so struck by the Town and the surrounding area that they became residents by buying a house and now spend as much time as possible living in Knysna as their business schedule allows.

The site was started as an informational reference to everyone that we could tell about this jewel in South Africa in the hope that friends and acquaintances would use it to consider making a visit and use the town as a base to visit the Garden Route in general

The site however has grown over the years from an independent enthusiast's site to a full blown directory which, we hope, will offer genuine information to anyone planning to visit Knysna and the Garden Route.

Knysna is a beautiful town which is set in the equally beautiful Garden Route and we hope that you get the chance to visit this outstanding part of the world .... we are sure you've heard of others who have visited South Africa and returned saying that it was a wonderful vacation .... so why not try it for yourself?
